Rice pudding covered with lingonberries (or rasberries are a good substitute)
My family has the good holiday food thing down. I honestly don't know if my favorite is the stuffing with gravy or the yorkshire pudding. Or the roast prime rib or the smoked turkey. Too many choices! :)
Lol, I've pre-posted them for the whole next week! Starting with homemade caramels today. I don't think that much about Christmas sweets or anything. ;)
Jim,Funny you should mention lingonberries. I've always wondered what they're supposed to taste like after seeing the lingonberry juice at IKEA. Sounds like a delicious dessert! I'm so glad everyone is home...you have wonderful celebrations! ----Egretsnest,Mmmm. Nothing like a variety of delicious food. Enjoy the holidays with your family!----Holly,Homemade caramels? I'm coming over right now...
I think I've finally made my last batch of chocolate sauce! Now on to the cookies...
A big bowl of nuts that you sit around the table and crack with your family!
Cookies, any and all.
Christmas cookies, definitely! I make my grandma's recipe for chocolate peanut butter balls and I eat them up!
Vivian, isn't it amazing how much food there is at Ikea? I've had some excellent cookies from there, but a furniture store is not the first place I'd think of when it comes to filling my pantry.Cookies, definitely, are my favorite. No big surprise there!
Ikea food is so good! The cinnamon roll with a lingonberry juice is pretty much my favorite meal ever. As for Christmas, I'm up to about 18 cookies a day or so. White-chocolate-dipped molasses cookies. Chocolate mint. White chocolate macadamia nut. Pecan balls. Yeah, pretty much anything. BTW, I'm a first-time poster, but I'm enjoying your site!
My mom's Swedish holiday roll. She uses real butter, cherries, walnuts(can't use these now as son is allergic), and thick cream frosting. Yummy. She makes both white and wheat rolls. My fav? The wheat one.
